In memmory of Giannis Ritsos 1909-1990
from wikipedia:Ritsos is considered one of the five great Greek poets of the twentieth century, together with Konstantinos Kavafis, Kostas Kariotakis, Giorgos Seferis, and Odysseus Elytis. The French poet Louis Aragon once said that Ritsos was "the greatest poet of our age." He was unsuccessfully proposed nine times for the Nobel Prize for Literature. When he won the Lenin Peace Prize, he declared "this prize is more important for me than the Nobel".His poetry was banned at times in Greece due to his left wing beliefs.Notable works by Ritsos include Tractor (1934), Pyramids (1935), Epitaph (1936), and Vigil (1941–1953).One of his most important works is Moonlight Sonata:
"I know that each one of us travels to love alone,
alone to faith and to death.
I know it. I’ve tried it. It doesn’t help.
Let me come with you."
—from Moonlight Sonata. Translation by Peter Green and Beverly Bardsley

"Viannos and in Anogia were burned by the Nazis! There is no room for fascists on this isle!"Anti-fascist poster calling for a demonstration against the upcoming visit of Golden Dawn's MPs on Crete. This provocative action desecrates the memory of thousands of Cretans and Allied troops who fought against the axis in WW2 for freedom!

A nation with many hopes and many sorrows..a nation still in the hearts of people, now long gone, wiped out in one night..sure it was not perfect and not a paradise upon earth..but it was a country, a culture, a vision, a hope. The injustice and poverty that followed after the fall of the Eastern block has made many to think if it was really worth it. In this way I commemorate the 63rd anniversary of the German Democratic Republic (October 7th 1949).

Poster promoting solidarity between the nations in financial crisis, all under the red banner of revolution and change! The world "solidarity" is written in the language of the flag mentioned. The Spanish flag has the colors of the 2nd Spanish republic and not of the fascist regime of Franko that still remains today. There was a simpler version without Ireland but after a ton of requests and comments Ireland was added as well.
I would like to personaly thank everyone for making more than 1800 shares of that poster possible. We might be far from each other, but when we protest on the streets of our countries, we march together. Brothers against the capitalist crisis, UNITE!

More information and support on the matter: http://www.icannotvote.org/
Propaganda poster for SYRIZA for the Greek national elections in 2012. It reads "Our proud people in the 17th of June will honor its struggles for freedom, popular sovereignty, democracy and independence of our motherland!". On the top-left corner of the banner says "we make the memorandums history, we open the way towards hope", main slogan of the SYRIZA campaign in the 2012 Greek elections. "A little bit more and we will see
The almond trees blosom
the marbles shining under the sun
and the sea waving once again.
Lets rise up a little bit more
a little bit higher, a little bit higher!"
The poem expreses hope and a better tomorrow for Greece as if a new spring is coming to shine over the country. The couple with the red flag is an edited version from a poster by the youth organization EPON (Greek union of youth) under the left front EAM (national liberation front),in the 2nd world war. On the poster all the elements of the poem are shown with an allegory to the Greek countryside and history all under the red flag and the sun.

The poster aims to attract people to become active in the lines of the Coalition of Radical Left either as members or supporters. On the backround are common Greek names. The poster comes in 2 colours, red for strugle and action and blue for patriotism and hope.
